Home Crafts: DIY ’70s style
As you might have noticed, I haven’t managed any DIY projects lately. That doesn’t mean I haven’t been thinking about them though! I don’t usually attempt interior DIYs but this book I found in an op shop recently is rather inspiring… who wouldn’t want a bit of the country in their lounge room via a decorative screen?
Gilded shells… so pretty scattered around as objets… or made into jewellery.
Interesting ways to jazz up boring jars…
More ideas for jewellery or, made on a larger scale, mats and coasters…
This patchwork floor is top of my “to do when I have my own house” list. Super cute (or cool, depending on your choice of fabric/paper) in a kitchen, laundry or bathroom.
Although I like the idea of painting on the floor too…
This idea of using paper cutouts for a wall mural is also pretty high up on the list…
And why wouldn’t I go all out and paint a mural on the bathroom wall too? (Although I’m not so sure about the replica fish resting on the edge of the bath).
I probably should start with an easier project like this chest of drawers… I don’t love the tree design but I’m sure I could come up with something more “me”.
How about you? What’s on your DIY list?
Op shop finds are always the best! I kind of love that patchwork floor, though. It's probably not something I could live with on a large scale, but it's just quirky enough to appeal.
Wonder how long it would take to cut out all those patchwork pieces for the floor!?!?!?Liz @ Shortbread & Ginger
