Fair@Square Fashion Show sneak peek

Well, it’s happened again. It’s December and that means it’s nearly Christmas time. While I don’t do much gift-giving or receiving myself, I know that most people need to shop at this time of the year. If braving a packed shopping mall is more than you can handle, though, why not get to a market instead – there’s so many on at this time of year including Northern Regards, Made ‘n Thornbury, Kingston Makers Market (my sister may just be participating in one or two of these!) and the Big Design Market. And then there’s the Fair@Square Festival next weekend, with all kinds of entertainment including a market, talks, music, cooking and a series of fashion shows* full of ethical/sustainable/fair trade/eco-friendly fashion including brands such as these…

There will also be outfits from Savers on show – some chosen by yours truly as I went and raided the store with the show organiser on Sunday morning! (As you can imagine, I had to be dragged in there kicking and screaming, haha). The shows will be hosted by the stylish Emily Power who happens to be a workmate of mine, a fellow op shop lover and an excellent, stylish hostess, so the stage is set for two inspirational afternoons. And did I mention the shows are free? See you there!

*Long-time readers will know that I actually ran the fashion show at Fair@Square for a couple of years – search “Fair@Square” on this blog to find out more.
