Yarns about Melbourne
Just a quick one today – I know that yarnbombing is getting ubiquitous, but I’m still quite partial to it myself. Who doesn’t love rainbow trees and granny squares on the streets? These are all at the city square in Melbourne at the moment, so if you’re in town, stroll down for a look!
And if you feel the urge to clad trees in crochet, here are the details of the group responsible – and if you want to see the yarnbombing in action, click here!
thanks for sharing that, as one of the many members of Yarn Corner who contributed to this project, (mine was a mere 3m of knitted tree), let me say how much we enjoy making others happy with our Yarn Bombing. City Square is about Melbourne's Urban Forest Strategy, bringing awareness to Melbourne's wonderful Trees.
So cool. I've seen a few in Brighton lately, but none as vibrant and large as these ones
