Vogue patterns model.. or Australia’s PM??
Is it just me or does the model for this pattern bear a striking resemblance to Julia Gillard!?
This pattern has been sitting around on my shelf for ages… I just hope I’m not going to dig up any patterns with Tony Abbott on the cover because we all know what he would be modelling…
Haha, she really does look like Julia! Thanks for sharing!
Lol! Oh please no, Tony, my eyes!!!!!!
Yes she does look like Julia!!1
It is Julia. And clearly, that's what she'd be wearing if this was a summer campaign.
That's hilarious (and spoky!). The 'real' Julia would look great in that frock campaigning on the Gold Coast!
Of course I meant 'spooky' not 'spoky?
I don't know who she is, but I like the dresses! On the shirring-question, hm, no, sorry… I'm still trying to figure out if I did it all wrong when I stretched the elastic in the bobbin slightly (that was from a swedish tutorial), it seems like common knowledge that that's a no-no, and the fabric scrunched up before I sprayed it with water at all so I'm worried it'll be too small when they've washed the dress… oooh. But I did have to sew very slowly to avoid breaking the elastic thread, maybe that'll help? I didn't change the settings of the machine at all (tension or so).Oh, cool, yup, that's a real coincidence (Shibuya)! I stayed in Tokyo between february-august in 1998, and september-november 2000. I loved it. I especially loved the little Izakaya-alley behind the Yamanote-sen in Shibyua. Can't remember the name, but I think it's quite famous. And I loved my local sento. And Loft, and all supermarkets and tiny tiny shabby old restaurants. Oh, there are so many things I love in Japan… I worked across the street from Bic-camera (there was like the best art-supply shop ever right opposite Bic-camera, towards the busstation, btw, I spent a fortune there, did you ever go there?), up a tiny street towards the post-office, just a block up. I sometimes look at the street on Google maps, natsukashii…
This is just amazing.
Your 12 year old boy jacket is super! Totally lumberjack, I like :)And thanks for the tip on funkis…perhaps when my tax comes back I will go for a harmless little adventure, money in hand!!
Baahahaha, that really does look like JG!
